Aegis Protective Services, Inc. encourages our management team to be involved in the security industry in order to keep up to date with industry changes and to help promote professionalism in our industry. Our management team is active with the following organizations:

ASIS International - Our President, Patricia Schmitt, CPP has been a member of ASIS International since 1987 and obtained her CPP designation with ASIS International in November of 1997. Ms. Schmitt is on the board with the local ASIS Chapter (Florida West Coast) and serves as the Vice Chairperson and Legislative Liason.

Florida Association of Security Companies (FASCO) - Our President, Patricia Schmitt, CPP serves on the Executive Board of FASCO and holds the positions of both Secretary and Treasurer. FASCO represents our member security agencies in the fight to continuously improve the professionalism of the contract security industry. FASCO has been instrumental in supporting sponsorship legislation with the assistance of a lobbyist. The legislation sponsored, provides protection to our security officers and improves the professionalism of our inddustry.

Private Investigative, Recovery, and Security Advisory Council (PIRSAC) - Our President, Patricia Schmitt, CPP has served on PIRSAC since 2003, and has held both the Chair and Vice Chair positions. PIRSAC is an advisory board that is appointed by the Commissioner of Agriculture to advise the Florida Division of Licensing on matters relating to Chapter 493, which regulates the security, investigative, and recovery industries.

Building Owners and Managers Associations (BOMA) - Aegis Protective Services is an Allied Member with BOMA, and chose to get involved with this organization to build a partnership with BOMA and offer industry knowledge to their membership.

Private Security and LE Partnership (PSSP) - Aegis Protective Services, Inc. is a member of the PSSP and supports the mission of uniting various LE agencies, private security agencies, and companies to network and discuss crime activity in various areas. We provide a conduit for information which can benefit everyone.
